Christmas shoebox appeal 2024
Brighten their Day at Christmas!!
Christmas 2024 will be no different here at Millbrook RSPCA, we expect to have at least 100 animals in our care on Christmas Day, some will be waiting for their new homes, some will be in our care whilst awaiting the result of a court case - and once again we are appealing for your help in making Christmas just a little bit more special for them.
We are doing our ever-popular Christmas Shoebox Appeal again!!
All you need to do is find a shoebox (or any box you would like to use) and fill it up with presents for the animals at Millbrook. You can do a mixed box, or you can do one that is specific for cats, dogs, small animals, or the horses. You could even do one for the staff if you're feeling generous, we always need post-its! Basically any donation you can make will help us look after the animals.
Once you have filled your box, please bring it to reception and put it under the Christmas tree, and we will be around on Christmas Day to hand them out so that the animals don't miss out on Christmas Day.

Although we are ever so grateful for any donations recieved, there are a few things that we would prefer you didn't donate this year:
- Dreamies (or similar cat treats) - as we still have loads left over from last year
- Fresh food such as chicken, apples, carrots - they may preish
- Raw food - we have no freezer space currently
- Towels - we have so many at the moment, so please hold on to them until we can take them, or contact another charity or your local vets who may be in need of them
- Cat/dog brushes - we have plenty of these
- Cat milk - this is not something that we use
- Dry food (unless you wish to contact us to find out what specific food we use)
- Tinned cat food - we find that the cats aren't so keen on the large 400g tins
