About me

Candy was living in a home with over 20 other dogs. RSPCA Inspectors stepped into help and Candy is now ready to find a new home.

When she first arrived at Millbrook she was a little timid and unsure but soon grew confidence and now loves her walks with staff and volunteers. She can still be a little unsure of men but with some patience she soon comes around. Due to her shy nature she is best in an adult home or one with older teens. A cheeky character has really started to shine and Candy has started to blossom. She will need owners who have owned dogs before and ideally owners who have owned her type of breed before so they understand her coat care needs.

Candy enjoys her walks and walks well on the lead, although she is only young and can have her bouncy moments. Off lead Candy loves to run and play and enjoys a good game of fetch so her new family will need to have a good throwing arm. Due to her love of play she will need her own enclosed garden with 5 foot fencing.

On her walks Candy is friendly with other dogs but she does not like to share her toys or treats so for this reason she needs to be the only dog in her new home.

Candy will need regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition and will need clipping every few weeks so her new owners will need to find a good groomer. When she arrived at Millbrook she was matted and has since been clipped by one of our super volunteers and is now much more comfortable.

Candy may need refresher housetraining and may need car travel training. She will need someone based at home a good part of the day to help her settle with time she is left slowly increased as she gets used to her new home.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our adoption teams will search through applications to find potential matches that meet all of the animals individual needs. They may contact you to discuss the adoption process and your application in more detail.

Millbrook regrettably is unable to keep a waiting list. However we are able to keep your application for up to 3 months to hopefully try to match you with another animal.
