About me

Beautiful Perry came from a multi cat household and was unhappy and unresponsive in the cattery so it was decided that he might fare better in a home environment - this is what is foster mum says about him.

When first fostered he hid away all the time and hissed at me whenever I approached and he had a rather upset tummy too, this gradually improved with special dietary food and biscuits and absolutely no treats. After several months his tummy settled and for the most part he stopped hissing but would not approach me.

A few months ago I started leaving the foster room door open so that he could explore but for over a month he was too frightened to venture . In the

meantime I would go in and read to him and sit with him and I slowly introduced my small dog to him. My dog loves cats. Perry gradually started to come and investigate.

He now waits to come out of the foster room and explores everywhere , he and my dog are best friends and he has met my fifteen year old cat and after a gently gently introduction they too are fine together. Perry gives my cat the respect that is his due. Perry still does not want to be touched but just moves out of reach.

Perry now comes into the living room and sits by me waiting for Dreamies and is totally unfazed by visitors. He and my dog play and Perry has started `talking¿ to my cat.

Perry will suddenly start to yowl for no apparent reason, and possibly as a result of his previous `home¿ he sometimes goes and gets into the back of the tv cabinet and watches through the glass door.

He is becoming friendlier day by day and likes to be in the same room as us. He has settled into our routine and at about 10pm when dog, cat and I get ready for bed he goes to his room and sits and waits for his night time 4 dreamies. He is a very beautiful boy.

I think he will do best in an adult home and would benefit from the company of other friendly small dogs and cats.

Our adoption teams will search through applications to find potential matches that meet all of the animals individual needs. They may contact you to discuss the adoption process and your application in more detail.

Millbrook regrettably is unable to keep a waiting list. However we are able to keep your application for up to 3 months to hopefully try to match you with another animal.
