About me
Gorgeous boy Nico came into our care after being found in dirty conditions with lots of other dogs, cats and even small animals!
When Nico first arrived he was a little shell shocked and it soon became clear he probably had never been out of the house as he can be very worried by day to day things in life! He is very reliant on his handlers to help him through 'scary' situations such as seeing strange men in high-vis or loud motorbikes. We are looking for owners that have had experience with nervous dogs/large dogs for Nico. Nico is scared of the traffic, so he will need to live on a quiet road, where he does not need to cross any busy roads to go for his walks. He really needs a quiet walking area with easy access from his new home or to live in a semi rural area.
With the people he knows Nico is SUPER affectionate and cuddly, he just wants to be on your lap - even though he weighs over 30kg!!! He is such a sweet boy and would really love his own home. Nico could live with a neutered female dog depending on introductions done here at Millbrook.
Out and about Nico enjoys saying hello to other dogs and walks really nicely on the lead! In his new home Nico would like his own enclosed garden with secure 6ft fencing for off the lead play. Nico would also like somebody home with him whilst he settles in to home life. He is very clean in his kennel so may just need a refresher in house training and some help with car travel training. Due to his nervous nature he would not enjoy living with young children.
Nico is currently in a fostering home where his foster family have been working very hard with him. He has gained alot of confidence since being there and has slotted in home life very well. If you are interested in adopting Nico, you will need to visit him at his foster home which we can help organise.
Could you give our lovely boy a home?
