About me
Cheeky Cherry came to us after he was living in a car with 4 other dogs and 5 cats. Cherry was very nervous when she came to us, it has taken time for her to come around and feel more confident with people. Once Cherry knows you she is very affectionate and bonds quickly and can come very attached.
Cherry is a real live wire and have a lot of energy, she loves running around and jumping and loves to go have a swim in the water. Cherry is very good at jumping over things, so new adopters will need to be aware of how agile she is and how easily she can jump on to things or over things.
She can still be unsure at first, so she will need to meet potential adopters a few times, so that she can get to know them before going to her new home. She could live with a confident, similar sized neutered female dog, depending on introductions. As Cherry can be unsure and has no experience with children she would be best in an adult home, but we could possibly go done to older teenagers depending on their experience with dogs. Cherry would benefit from an experienced dog home, ideally a home experienced with small breed dogs.
Cherry is going to need a very active home and when more confident would benefit from reward based training classes or even agility classes as she loves jumping so much. She will also require a swimming pool in the garden :)
We are not sure if Cherry has lived in a house so she may need housetraining and car travel training. She will also need someone based at home to begin with and then will need a gradual build up to being left. She will also need help with day-to-day life and the noises and movements that happen in a home and when out and about because she does not have much experience with this. As Cherry is unsure she will need to stay on the lead, so will need direct access to her own secure private garden with at least 5ft fencing. Cherry is best living on a quiet road, that does not have a lot of traffic and people going past.
If you think, you could give cheeky little Cherry a home then please send in an application form.
PLEASE NOTE
Our adoption teams will search through applications to find potential matches that meet all of the animals individual needs. They may contact you to discuss the adoption process and your application in more detail.
Millbrook regrettably is unable to keep a waiting list. However we are able to keep your application for up to 3 months to hopefully try to match you with another animal.
